Dearest Valerie and Butch and of course Pam and Charlie, who I regret not having gotten to know -
so sorry to hear about your unexpected and sudden loss, which saddened me deeply. So please accept my heartfelt condolences, whereby words cannot express and are fully insufficient at a time like this. However, hopefully you will have the strenght to endure this pain-filled time and later emerge stronger for it, yet knowing that things will never be the same. But, there are the memories you have attained over so many years - may they comfort and remind you of the wonderful times you had and one day become a lasting treasure.
One doesn't expect this to happen at this point in life's middle and most rewarding time. So many lessons had been learned, so many fights had successfully been fought, so many blessings had been bestowed, so much love had been received and of course, given. Now was the time to enjoy it all to the fullest and reap the harvest of all the efforts one had made through the years gone by.

To Carl’s wife, son and family my condolences. High school and afterwards was a pleasure because of Carl. We would drive around laughing and I would tell him to stop cursing…which would only make him curse more. He was just one of the good guys. I would see him over the years and he always had a hug and we talked about our families and how proud we both were to have great spouses and kids.

Dear Pam, Charlie, Butch and Valerie. My wife Mila, daughters Sophia and Katherine and I were all shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Carl's passing. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with you at this difficult time. I've known Carl since I was a teenager and happily welcomed him into our family when he and Pam got married. I always admired how dedicated he was to raising his son and how he played such an active role in Charlie's life. Saddened to hear this, condolences to the family Pamela, Charlie and all. I am a member of the Nighthawk sports club. Carl played softball and hockey with us for decades. Always energy and fun and always there to back up any teammate when needed. Such a time, turned out very humorous. We played in a hockey tournament in sackville. During the game Carl and another of our players ended up in the penalty box together, while there a halifax player high sticked another of our players during the play. Carl and his teammate wrestled with each other in the box to see who would get to answer the abuse. This stopped everything as all players and officials watched on in amazememt of the scene.
