It is with deep sadness that the family of Dr. David Morse, 75, formerly of Lunenburg, passed away Sept. 9, 2021, at Northwood Ivany Place, Bedford. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Dr. Frank and Sheila Morse of Lawrencetown, Annapolis Valley.
A graduate of Acadia University, he obtained his Medical Degree from Dalhousie University in 1972. He practised in Lunenburg for the remainder of his career and was a much-loved family doctor. He was a man of many interests, but his great passion was sailing. An avid and accomplished sailor, he made many voyages, near and far, with his many good sailing buddies.
Survived by his loving wife Sharon, of 50 years, he was the proud father of Lisa (Dan), Halifax, and Hugh (Valerie), UK, and was the proud Grandpa of Pascal, UK. Also surviving are his sister, Ruth, Windsor; Peter (Claudia), NJ; Donald, Lawrencetown; his stepmother, Marjorie, Berwick; stepbrothers, Doug Maclean (Heather), Berwick and Alan Maclean (Sandra), NL as well as several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
A special heartfelt thanks to Dr. Cathy Kelly for her care, guidance, and support. Also, thanks to the caring staff of Seaside Cove, Ivany Place.
