PLEASE – if you have any story about my dad, please share. I am going to include as many stories as I can in a memory book. No need to sensor your comments - I know exactly who my dad was. Perhaps you had a great time ice fishing, but then he accidentally dropped your prized possession into the water. Bob was Bob and there are lots of stories about his antics and I would love to compile as many as I can.
If you don’t feel comfortable leaving your story here, please go to my facebook and post or pm me. Denise Nightingale Bauckman
Also - just a request, but it wuold be great if people would say how you knew dad, if appropriate

My dad was my first friend. My first paid job was handing him tools while he worked on cars and his job was keep me out from under my mother’s feet while she tirelessly cooked and cleaned. This is the reason I know the names of all the tools but can’t cook. Thanks dad (?)
The thing that people said most often about him is that he was so smart. He used to tell me that I had the same IQ as he did. I asked him how he knew that and he said that he had me tested. It wasn’t true that he had me tested, but it made the story more believable and I bought it hook-line-and-sinker. Right or wrong, I have always believed I am smart. That made me determined, which helped me get smarter, which made me more confident. Thanks for lying to me dad to make me believe in myself. I just completed my 4th university degree. MEd
He was the best storyteller I have ever known. He would laugh if he read what I wrote above because he would also be the first person to tell you that all of his stories are great and most of them are true. Well, most of them were probably mostly true, but they were never anything less than rofl hilarious.
I guess I’m supposed to say Rest In Peace dad, but I would rather say Raise Hell up There with your bf Paddy, Uncle Billy and Uncle Beaver. I’m sure the four of you have already opened a Radio Club and/or a Legion.
Love you, Dee xox

So long Bobby, your jokes and stories were the stuff of legends and once you had someone's ear in a story your personality took over.. That in turn amped up the story to different levels as it was being told...You were also the best conversationalist I ever had the pleasure of sitting with and believe me I learned from each visit we had. To say you were opinionated would not be a stretch of the word at all and you were a man who held your beliefs firm and carried your opinions deep and you had no qualms about sharing them..I always respected that. Confident and caring, there wasn't a topic that you weren't read up or informed on other than sports, of which you could have cared less....Rest In Peace Bobby...The Nightingale house is filling up again, only up there now..... I will miss you, your nephew - Michael Chipman
