I was saddened to hear about Eileen's passing. Dance was a big part of my life growing up and Eileen was always there dreaming up the next big thing... and it doesn't get much bigger than performing at Disney and Taiwan as a kid from Cape Breton! Though we weren't in touch over the recent years, her legacy carries on in the future generations as my own daughter is now a highland dancer. I was pleasantly surprised to see Eileen judging a competition in Truro last year. I wish I had of been able to say hello. My deepest sympathies to your family-I along with so many others, will remember her fondly.

I remember you sooo well.she was sooo proud of all her dancers.who would have thought she would get to judge your daughter.Dancing was her gift and life.she judged Pugwash July 1 even though not well.the day before she passed she was on a zoom meting for her hrs in order to judge for next year.

Shara,
I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. Although I never had the opportunity to meet your mom, having read your tribute, I feel I missed out on getting to know remarkable woman. She fit a lot of living in her time on this earth and accomplished a great deal with her time. I guess the apples don't fall far from the tree. I'm sure your mother has left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. May her memory be an eternal blessing.

My deepest condolences to Wally, Sean, Shannon, Shara, Shendle and all your family. Aunt Eileen was so special to me, and so was her family. I have so many wonderful memories of spending time at your family home, and at our family home, as well Aunt Sandra's. Always playing and having fun! Aunt Eileen was so kind to me and Alyssa. Teaching my daughter highland dance for a summer and taking care of her while in Sydney. Alyssa loved to dance and we were so amazed at how Aunt Eileen and all the girls were amazing dancers and still are today. So proud of you. Although years have pasted and we all have our own families and lives across Canada, I think of you all often. All my love to you all, Sandy McIsaac-Cahill

My sincere condolences to Wally and family. Eileen was so proud of all of you, and was such a great friend to me for many years. Her determination to stay involved with her Highland Dancing, despite her illnesses was remarkable. For sure she will be dancing with the Angels.

Our whole family sends their condolences to you; Wally, Sean, Shannon, Shara, Shendle and all the partners and grandkids. She loved you all so much and was so proud of her wonderful family. Eileen was a large part of my life from the time I was four and taught me so much; much more than dance as you know. She has been a fixture in my life and the life of my daughter as well and I'll forever be grateful for that. I will miss her very much but I know she's dancing again, without struggle and without pain, and that makes smile. Sending you all much love.

I want to extend my deepest sympathy to all of Eileen's family and friends. Such a beautiful talented lady who will be missed by all of us who had the pleasure of knowing her. I met her when she sang with some of the chorale members at my high school graduation in 1987. A memory I will treasure always. May God strengthen you all and comfort you in your time of sorrow. May it comfort you all to know the amazing impact that your mom had on so many people. May she now rest in peace.
