Giuseppe Benini, 81, of Halifax, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on January 15, 2025. Born in Ciano, Modena, Italy, he was the son of the late Armando and Maria Benini.

Giuseppe was a dedicated worker who spent 30 years working for automatic amusement before working for Cherubini Metal Works for 20 years. Known for his strong work ethic, he found great joy in gardening and crafting homemade wine. Giuseppe also proudly served in the Italian military for many years, reflecting his love for his homeland.

Giuseppe is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Donna (Hillision), and his sons: Mark (Tammy), Dino (Shelly), and Blaine (Sara). He was a proud grandfather to Christian, Chad, Brandon, Alyssa, and Blake, and a great-grandfather to Ashton, Deegan, and Cole. He is also survived by his nephew Sergio Benini of Ciano, Italy.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Madonna; his brothers, & sister.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Halifax.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
