Dear Art and Jennifer: My sincere condolences to you and your family for the loss of Susan. She was the most kind and thoughtful individual – I hold many fond memories of her and our friendship. First meeting when we worked together at Maritime Medical Care, she was “Susan” to me. As we became friends and I met you both, I learned that Buni was her true persona! We shared many visits with tea and cookies, lunches, and some jaunts to Falmouth. Through her stories of growing up there, it was obvious the affection she held for the community and her family heritage. I benefited many times from Susan’s efforts in the kitchen – she was a wonderful cook, and we enjoyed talking about food and sharing recipes. Her pies were amazing. Susan’s love of animals was readily apparent with her own Basil and Sybil and making friends with neighborhood cats. Whenever we talked by phone or visited, one of her very first questions was about my cat…“How is Clint?” – touched my heart every time. I was blessed to have Susan in my life and will always treasure our friendship. I am sending thoughts of peace and comfort to you both as you navigate the days ahead. Susan Radford

Dear Art, Jennifer and family Dan and I send you our deepest sympathy for your loss of Susan/Bunni. She was a fine person and will be missed. She was always a cheery and friendly neighbour and I remember how you both looked after our cats for us and how she loved animals. I met and worked with Susan at MMC. She was kind and helpful to me. We shared a lot in common — graduates from the VGH, roots in the Valley etc. Although we did not keep in touch, I never forgot her. My deepest condolences. Joanne Wilson (Gesner)

Sue was a neighbour and friend for over 30 years. As families we often dined out together - those events were always lively and entertaining. She was very kind to animals and invited any neighbours with pets to open her front door and take a dog treat. All dogs in the area headed directly to her house for her daily offering. Sue was kind and generous and will be missed by all who knew her. Our condolences to Art and Jennifer, Joanne and Alan Hayman
