Joseph Maskine, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away

Born in Hasroun, Lebanon, Joseph immigrated to Halifax in 1976, where he built a life full of
love, resilience, and hard work. He quickly became a respected member of the community
known for his warm heart, generosity, personal fortitude, and unwavering dedication to his

his children the importance of family values, hard work, and helping others. Whether it was offering a kind word, a helping hand, or simply sharing a meal, Joseph's presence was a source of comfort and joy to all who knew him. His home was always open to friends and visitors who would sit with him by his wood stove.
He was predeceased by his parents, Victoria and Antonios Maskine; his sister, Badiha; and his
brothers, Wadih, George, Edmond, and Phillip.
