Obituary of Christopher Renee Murphy

In Loving Memory of Christopher Renee Murphy February 27, 1979 – December 17, 2024. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Christopher Renee Murphy, age 45, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, on December 17, 2024, at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Halifax, Chrissy was the beloved son of Yvonne Murphy and Dougie Byers. He dedicated 20 years of his life to St. Vincent’s Nursing Home, where he worked in support services, bringing compassion, dedication, and kindness to all he encountered. Chrissy had a vibrant spirit and a heart full of love. He cherished spending time with his great-nephews Kingston and Kyron, watching movies, and gaming. These moments brought joy not only to him but also to those around him, as his laughter and warmth were infectious. Chrissy leaves behind his mother, Yvonne Murphy, and his father, Dougie Byers; his brothers Troy (Debbie) Murphy and Dougie (Janet) Murphy; and his sister Nicole Murphy. He will be deeply missed by his nieces Breanna, Taylor, Dahlea, Eve, and nephew Eli, as well as by many aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends. Chrissy’s legacy of kindness and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. A Visitation will be held December 28.2024 at 11:00 AM in T.J. Tracey Cremation & Burial Specialists at 71 McQuade Lake Crescent Beechville, with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 12:00pm.
