Daphne was a wonderful leader of the Volunteer Department at APSEA, School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Her office was next door to the Health Unit, so we were in frequent contact. her daughter in law Debbie was one of our wonderful nursing staff for many years.
Daphne was a hard worker raising funds for our students, planning celebrations and managing our yearly Christmas Sale. Many of the staff volunteered and worked with her during these events. The one she cherished the most was sending some students to Disney World before she retired. She created some amazing memories for so many of us, staff as well as students. Please accept my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time, Isobel Mac Pherson

Daphne was a beautiful and warm welcoming lady. We were together in Fairview United church women and Seniors Luncheons program at Fairview United church for many years. She hosted many meetings in the kitchen room at Cameron Hall. She was a great leader who had a way of getting you involved. She will be missed. May she rest in peace. Warm hugs to you all.

So sorry to hear of Daphne's passing; we spent many busy and happy times during our Red Hat days with planning events and joining others... a true friend. We even travelled to River Hebert on one of our trips; she did love showing off her hometown. She had a wonderful 90th birthday provided by her family which we enjoyed with many long time and past friends included on her special day. Daphne, I will miss you but know that you were not well at the end, may God bless you and condolences to your family.

I met Daphne when I was 11 yrs old, when we moved across the street from the McCarthers.
She was warm and welcoming to our family, and always treated me like a friend .
I did a lot of babysitting for her family during my teenage years, and she was always so appreciative. She always showed an interest in what I was about, and talked to me about the things she was involved in.
I can still see her in her CGIT uniform!
She was a straight forward, honest, kind ,generous mother, neighbour and friend.
My sincere condolences to Scott, Linda and Nancy and their families. She will be missed by many!
