We remember particularly a few years back going on a trip around the Cabot Trail--two days...Fantastic!! Stopped over in Cheticamp with a music night at the Hotel. Such a wonderful time with Glenda, Earl, Jimmy and myself. And when we visited, the radio was the first thing on in the morning and the last to be turned off at night. Earl will certainly be missed. Earl was like a brother to me. He was kind, soft spoken and calm, witting and great sense of humour. He never took life seriously as he would say, not getting out alive. Earl gave me a lot of first: rides on the skidoo, chopping down a Christmas tree, taking me around the Cabot Trail (many times) and teaching me to drive, to name a few. My sister and I were very close and there were many times Earl would jokingly say I got Two for one. I was always there. Wasn’t uncommon that I would hem his pants or iron his shirts or help him under the hood of his car. Earl was there for me and I him we has a special connection. I wish I could remember more except I knew he was always there. Earl I love you and miss you deeply. RIP just doesn’t seem fitting for you as I know you won’t be resting you will be helping, dancing and singing. I know first hand how much you adored your family but your 5 grand boys were your stars. I will never forget while you were losing your memory, you held on to the picture frame of those boys as if to say, nothing will ever take my boys from me and you danced. Continue to dance around them and protect all of your family from harm. Lead them to God because I know for certain that is where you are. You were always a soul of God and for God.

Glenda & family….
I was so saddened to hear or Earl’s passing. Offering my heartfelt condolences! Earl was a gentleman, quiet and such a friendly guy. I always got a smile and a hello from him whenever we crossed paths in the hallways at CBU and I will cherish those memories. He was a good man!

We just want to express our deepest heart felt condolences! I considered Earl an Uncle, even though he was not related by blood, he was by love. He and Glenda were constant fixtures in my life. I remember he was always kind, loving, funny amd thoughtful. I can actually never remember him without a smile on his face. May you rest easy Earl, until we all meet again.
