Betty was a proud Bell Islander. She loved her little island off the coast of mainland Newfoundland and would regale her children with fond memories of her childhood. Her family meant the world to her and she always did everything to make each and every one happy. She was a loving mother known for her warmth and vibrant spirit.
Betty left home at a young age to train at the Grace School of Nursing. She went on to dedicate her life to helping those in need. She was amazing, compassionate and cherished by her fellow nurses and patients.
Betty found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was shopping for the perfect gift, enjoying tea with close friends, cuddling her grandpuppies, or hosting and participating in family gatherings that brought everyone together. She was a beacon of love and light and will be forever loved and always missed.
Our family extends special thanks to the dedicated staff at Caritas Independent Living Home and the nurses at QEII - with special thanks to Mona, Sitti, and Monika. Your compassionate care and unwavering support provided comfort and dignity to our beloved mother during her final days. We are profoundly grateful for the kindness you shared with her and our family.
