Paul Joseph McPherson 54, of Halifax passed away peacefully October 17, 2024, at QE II Hospital, Halifax, Nova Scotia. He was surrounded by his family.
Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, he was the son of Patrick Joseph McPherson and Colleen Marie (MacIsaac).
Paul spent his entire career as a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces. During this time, he was stationed in both Calgary Alberta and Halifax. As a Naval Seaman Paul had the opportunity to travel the world. Paul’s experiences through these deployments gave him a true perspective on the importance of family and the blessing it is to be Canadian. Paul was an avid fisherman who loved being on the water. He cherished his summer days and evenings at his trailer with his family and friends. Paul’s greatest source of happiness was time spent with his son Alex. He appreciated the small moments like watching him play baseball or taking him to his Taekwondo classes. Paul was a caring and loving husband, a proud father, military man and a true gentleman.
Survived by his wife, Paula (Hann) of 26 years; Son, Alex McPherson (Ellie Musgrave); Brother, Craig (Cavell McPherson); Nephews, (Colin and Rory);
Mother and Father-in-Law, (Lorna and Dave Hann);Sister-in-Law Lori Hann, (Darrell White).
Predeceased by; (Father) Patrick Joseph McPherson and (Mother) Colleen Marie (MacIsaac).
Celebration of Life will be held October 22, 2024, 11:00 am in TJ Tracey Funeral Home, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Halifax NS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the QEII Health Sciences Centre Foundation (qe2foundation.ca).
