David Chinn, 76 of (Timberlea) Halifax passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 7, 2024. Born in Halifax, NS he was the son of Kevin Eugene Chinn and Mary Ann Chinn (Grandy). David was an Electrician for 45 years. He loved hunting, fishing, playing his guitar, and singing. His greatest love and joy were his family, and he was an amazing father, grandfather and husband. David is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Catherine (Hopkinson); son, Rodney Chinn (Wanda); daughter, Tammy Corbett (Bob); brother, Kevin Eugene Chinn (Cindy); sisters, Sharon, Janice (Rob), Judy (Calvin), Debbie, Donna (Kevin); grandchildren, Connor, Caleb, Declan, and Alex. He was predeceased by his brother, Paul; sister, Linda; mother, Mary and father, Kevin. A Graveside Service will be held Friday October 11, 2024 at 10:00am in Sunrise Park Interfaith Cemetery, 2025 Prospect Road, Hatchet Lake, NS B3T 1R9 with Rev. Cate Radcliffe officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Thank you to the staff at the Cancer Clinic in Colchester, and Halifax Cancer Clinic. Special thank you to Dr. McNeil and Dr. Hewitt for your kind caring support.
