In his leisure time, Shawn enjoyed the outdoors and being present in nature. He loved relaxing near the water, beachcombing and swimming in the Bras d’Or Lakes or Mira Gut. These activities brought him great solace and happiness. Shawn was an avid biker, exploring all over Sydney and surrounding areas. He also enjoyed spending time fishing in the Highlands with his stepfather Melvin. Shawn loved to engage in conversations involving politics, current world news, religion and modern history.
In honoring Shawn’s wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation but rather a private family graveside service. For those who wish, donations in Shawn’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
“Those who love, don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and forever dear.”
Shawn, you left us far too soon, but your memories will live on, and you will remain in our hearts forever.
