Q: What will you never forget about Georgena?
A: I will always remember Mrs Cromwell's smile. I can't think of an instance where Georgie Cromwell wasn't smiling and positive. Ron and Georgie were always interested in what we were doing and asking for updates on our family. They were caring, kind, fun loving and devoted parents. It is hard to believe that the days on Henry Street are long behind us. I will always think of them fondly when I pass by the old house and remember the strong ties our families shared.

Growing up our family lived across the street from the Cromwell’s. I always admired Georgie’s sense of style and grace. Georgie’s radiant smile, kindness, warmth and joie de vivre will always be remembered. A lovely lady whose presence on Earth will be greatly missed by all. Georgie was a wonderful friend to my mother, Leta Moore. When Mum passed away on Georgie's birthday in 2020, I was happy to take up the baton of 'inherited' friendship. Peter and I enjoyed visits and phone calls and were pampered guests at delicious meals prepared and hosted by Georgie. We also were appreciative recipients of her delicious baked beans on a number of occasions. As Georgie confronted increasingly challenging health issues, she did so with grace and acceptance. In addition to being an incredible role model for finding elements of beauty, peace, and gratitude in each day, the love and devotion Georgie and Ron demonstrated to each other will continue to inspire.

Susan, Robert and families,
Your Mom was truly one of the dearest, sweetest people I have had the privilege and pleasure of knowing. I have so many happy memories of times spent in her company. She always greeted you with her wonderful smile and made you feel very special and memories of her always brings a smile to my face. It is comforting knowing that she is back with her adoring husband, exactly where she wanted to be.

I have known Georgie for a number of years, first at the Halifax Infirmary when she was a supervisor .
We worked together at Dartmouth vocational school also and shared many memories there.
Georgie always had a smile for everyone.
We lost contact when she and Ron moved to the valley but managed to visit her and also talk on the phone recently. I am very grateful for this connection.
My prayers and condolences to Susan , Robert and the families.

Georgena was a year behind me in training at the Infirmary, but it wasn't until years later, when we worked together as instructors at the Dartmouth Vocational School, teaching the CNA program that I really got to know her. Georgie was always smiling and friendly, and really enjoyed working with the students. It was a great time in our lives, and I look back very fondly to those days and to the memory of Georgena. My prayers and condolences are with the family at this time.

Georgie, or Mrs. Cromwell as we called her, was one of my nursing instructors at DRVS back in the early 1980s. Excellent educator and nurse. Her pride in her family was there for all to see. She was a good person with all the patience in the world with her students. My condolences to her family.

I have such wonderful memories of Aunt Georgie and Uncle Ron while growing up. It is because of Aunt Georgie that I became a nurse and Uncle Ron sang at my wedding. I didn’t see them often but when we got together, there was always love and much laughter. They are together once again. RIP both. Jan
