Obituary of Diane Jean Farrell

Diane Jean Farrell, 74, of Centreville, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2024 in Valley Hospice in Kentville, NS. Diane was born in North Sydney to William and Jean Buffett in 1949.
After graduating from Cape Breton Business College, Diane worked for many years in the finance sector. She retired as Office Manager of a healthcare facility in Truro NS.
In 1973, Diane married Samuel Farrell. Together they raised two sons as Diane dealt with and managed several moves throughout the province – to Halifax, and Truro mainly. Her favorite move was to Long Island, New York in 2005 with her husband for 5 years before returning to Nova Scotia and residing in Centreville, NS in the Valley. Diane was known for her warm heart and sense of humour.
Diane is survived by her husband of 50 years, Samuel; sons, Brett (Laura) St. Peter’s, NS, Geoffrey, Wolfville, NS (from whom she was estranged); her granddaughters, Maddy Farrell, Truro NS, Lily Farrell, Frankford, ON, and Kaiya Hulsman, St. Peter’s; and her brothers, Greg Buffett, Dartmouth, Ralph (Norma) , North Sydney; and sister, Donna , Sydney Mines.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Jean Buffett; and her brother, Gary Buffett.
