Obituary of Leonard Leffley

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Leonard Leffley on August 25, 2024, surrounded by his wife, Susan, daughter Crystal, son in law Stephen; and brother-in-law, Chris. He was born in Zealand, New Brunswick on October 5, 1948. He was the son of George Leffley, who was a home child through peer 21 from Birmingham, England and Helen (Crouse) Leffley. Leonard was one of the last security workers to leave Sackville Down Racetracks. He worked security until he retired. He is survived by his wife, Susan (Baker) Leffley of 45 years; daughter, Crystal (Stephen Latter); grandchildren, Leslie, Josh, Sarah, Mason and Hayley; niece, Beverley Craft (and family); nephew, Terry Leffley (and family); brother-in-law, Chris Ball. He was predeceased by his brother, George Leffley jr.; his parents, George Leffley Sr., Helen Leffley; and his sister, Donna Ball A special thank you to Joe, his home care worker from Northwood. A celebration of life will be held on August 30, 2024 at 11 am in T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade lake Crescent, Beechville, NS, B3S 1C4.
