Marriott, Paul Douglas, 74 of Halifax, formerly of Prospect bay, passed away peacefully August 19, 2024 at Maplestone Enhanced Care in Halifax. Born on August 11, 1950 in Halifax to the late James and Margaret (Reid) Marriott.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Joann (Slaunwhite) of 48 years. Three children, Jamie (Stacie) of Stewiacke, Bob (Tanya) of Whites Lake and Melissa (Dave) Marriott Connors of Prospect Bay. Six grandchildren, Dylan, Noah, Maddie, Grace, Alice & Sophie. Brother Ronnie (late Margaret), Marion (Stan) Gaw, Mother-In-Law Gladys (late Sonny) Slaunwhite. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Paul was predeceased by siblings, Walter (Bev), Babe, Virgie (Hughie) Devereaux, Beverly (Bobby) Hann, twin brothers Kenneth and Clyde and sister Phyllis in infancy.
Paul loved his family and would do anything for them or those in need. Paul was a lover of hunting and fishing and enjoyed his time at the camp with his sons, brothers and nephews. He loved to attend sporting events and games with his children and grandchildren and brought his cow bell to cheer them on.
A huge thank you to the staff of Maplestone for the compassion and care they have given Paul over the past 4 ½ years. Cremation has taken place.
A celebration of life to take place at a later date.
