We are saddened to hear of Reg's passing. We were talking about him just today and said I wonder how Reg is, we hadn't seen him in awhile. I always enjoyed our chats when he came in to pick up his auction winnings. He was a lovely gent and will be missed. Please know our thoughts are with you.

"How does one stay young at heart? Make younger friends". said my Grandfather who lived to 102 years of age. Reg and Anne were that for us when Eddie and I were starting our family on "the Point" in Nova Scotia. It all began, funny enough when Reg's Black Chrystler broke down at the Tantallon Post Office one Christmas Eve. I gave him a boost wished him a Merry Christmas, and hours later, he showed up on our Porch with some Lobster in gratitude. We had a chuckle, that's the "Island Way" and one of the reasons we settled in Nova Scotia than our home of PEI. If the lights are on, you're up for a visit....And so began a friendship of the love of PEI, love of all genres of music, family, cats...and the art of making a short story longer. Reg will be missed and will live on in our memories. Next visit to the Island we will make a trip "up west"
With Love from the Campbells, Eddie, Shana, Sarah and Ryan.

Sending our deepest sympathy to Anne, daughter, Liane and to all of Reg's many friends and relatives. Reg and I shared the same MacAusland and Horne ancestors and spent a lot of online correspondence doing so. After a few years later, we had an unexpected visit from Reg and Anne. It was so nice to meet both of them personally. The greatest gift I ever received was a picture of our ancestor, Robert Horne and Sarah Gavin and another one with all the Horne sisters. Reg had copied and personally enlarged them for me. He sent me a nice Facebook message on my 75th Birthday. He was an amazing man and his legacy will continue on in his children and grandchildren. Thank you Reg for all your help. Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend and mentor to so many. RIP Reg and God Bless. Happy memories of the ‘Nursery Fleet’ in the late 70s and early 80s - sailboats with special netting stretched around the decks to keep kiddies from falling overboard. Happy times! Sincere sympathy to Anne, Liane, Carlos and all others in the family who will miss Reg so much.

Many years ago, putting ourselves through university, my friends and I helped Reg with a range of waterfront development and housing projects. A valued employer and one of our first, he soon became a mentor and friend. In the summer of 1986 or thereabouts, Reg took us all to Bloomfield to paint the family home, a change of pace from landscaping and construction. A few days later, and after a memorable round of golf and dinner at the nearby golf course, the job was done. But to our dismay, house paint had somehow drifted with the wind and deposited faint but unmistakable yellow speckles across the pristine black finish of Reg's Chrysler New Yorker. We fessed up; to our relief Reg was completely unfazed. It was a work car, after all!
In one's youth, there are certain people who have a special place in providing enduring guidance through their character, wide-ranging knowledge or, in Reg's case, an abundance of both. I am grateful to him and offer my condolences to Anne, Liane and Reg's family.
