Obituary of Ron Hunt
Please share a memory of Ron to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ronald (Ron) Byron Hunt, age 74 of Cole Harbour passed away May 23, 2024. He was born in Corner Brook, NL to the late Jabez and Grace (Weeks) Hunt.
Ron was a carpenter by trade and built many homes in HRM and PEI. In the mid 1970's he began his next career as a long-haul truck driver and continued with this service until his retirement.
Upon retirement, Ron developed a keen eye for nature photography which led him to receive numerous awards from various photography groups including the National Geographic Society. Also, during his retirement he developed his craftsmanship in wood turning. He would turn pieces of wood into beautiful vases, trinket boxes and Christmas ornaments.
Unfortunately, Ron put his hobbies on hold while he focused on his health so he could return to his passions; however, God had better plans for him.
Ron leaves behind his loving wife Verrena (Jackson) Hunt. He is survived by his sons Ronnie (Paula) Hunt, Jason Hunt (Lisa) and stepsons, Jason (Laureen) Brazeau, Kyle Brazeau and David Brazeau and four grandchildren, all of Dartmouth. Sackville, NS and brothers, Hayward (Barb) Hunt, London, ON, Robert (Vivian) Hunt, NL, Rodney (Theresa) Hunt, Edmonton, AB, and Bruce Hunt, Dartmouth, NS.
