Dear Cynthia, Andrea, Alexis and grandchildren-
I was so very sorry to read about the passing of your beloved husband, father and grandfather. Although I only met Chris on a couple of occasions, I was struck by his quiet dignity and gentle presence. Reading the tributes of others confirms this and his deep love for you all.
As I am presently living in ottawa, I am unable to attend this afternoon’s service but will be thinking of you today and in the days ahead.

Cynthia, Alexis and Andrea.... We were all so sad to hear about Chris's passing. Although we didn't see each other often, I certainly have fond memories of family gatherings in Sydney during our younger years. Chris always had a smile on his face. He was a very kind person who seemed truly engaged during conversations. He made an amazing pastitsio! He was very proud of his Greek Heritage. I remember cracking a few red eggs with him. Giagia absolutely adored all of you and couldn't hide her excitement knowing you were visiting. Take care of each other and I'll light a candle for him. Love Lisa and the Kieley girls. Xoxo

Cynthia, Alexis, and Andrea - please know how saddened I am by Chris' recent passing. As the patriarch of your family, he was always eager to share the family updates with me during our yearly tax visits. He was so proud of his two daughters and five grandchildren - he relished sharing stories of their achievements. His love for family was so apparent. In time, I hope your grief lessen and be replaced with loving memories of the wonderful man he was. I'm holding you all very close in my thoughts during this most challenging and sad time. -- Tracy

In January 1956 I was 11 years old and had just arrived in Halifax from Scotland. I showed up at Cornwallis School and everything was new to me. Chris and his friend Tom Caithness used their recess time to write out the class schedule for me. I was very grateful and until recently I continued to meet Chris, usually in Jubilee Junction. Sincerely, Forest Fyfe

Dear Forest - what a memory you have shared - thank you so much. Chris often spoke of you and the fact that you had come from Scotland, the land of my maternal grandmother, so it meant a lot to me. I know that "Jubilee Junction" was the frequent gathering spot. In appreciation from all of us in the family, Cynthia.

Our condolences go out to his family. We will always have such good memories of Chris.
I met Chris through my marriage to my husband Chris and we have been family ever since day one.
Chris and I became friends straight out of the gate.
My Giagia and his mom were sisters. My husband grandparents (Chris and Maria Raptis) introduced me to his family. Chris was always such a kind man to us. We had many, many great chats. We enjoyed anytime we spent around Chris and Cynthia.
Good memories. Chris and I will hold you in our hearts.
RIP Chris. You will be thought of often.
Cynthia, Alexis, Andrea and families , We will miss Chris. Hopefully memories will help you through.

Thank you, Steve and Hilda, for your kind words. The loss is profound, but we are upheld by the care, concern, and support of so many. Today, July 10 is the 40th day, so a special memorial day in the Greek Orthodox tradition. We were able to have the Mnemosyno for Chris in St. George's Greek Orthodox Church before Pater went on vacation. Keep well. Cynthia.
