Obituary of Joseph Ceasear Landry

The family announces with sadness the passing of Joseph "Ceasear" Landry, 96, of Halifax NS on June 2, 2024 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre.
Ceasear was a man of great faith. He was a member of the St. Stephen's Catholic Church for many years. Ceasear spent the majority of his earlier years as a fisherman, where he then retired as a life long member of the Carpenters union.
Ceasear is survived by his daughter, Terry-Lee Banks (Blake Banks); his 2 grandchildren, Krystle Banks (Matthew Cater), Andrew Banks (Nicole Banks); his 5 great-grandchildren, who could do no wrong (Jaiden Oliver, Jorden Oliver, Cashden Cater, Brody Banks, Brooklyn Banks; and his sisters, Theresa, Lena, and Matilda. He was predeceased by his loving wife Margaret Landry; and his brothers, Douglas, and Everett.
Ceasear was born in Poirierville, Cape Breton, NS on November 19, 1927 to the late Elma and Pascal. Ceasear will be remembered for his contagious smile, big heart, many jokes, and the unconditional love he had for his family.
Special thanks to the 8.4 unit at the QEII, Shirley Williams, and Charles Oliver for all their continued love and support. There will be a celebration of life at T.J. Tracey on Thursday, June 6th at 4pm-6pm located at: 71: McQuade Lake Crescent, Beechville, NS. Burial to follow at a later date in Cape Breton, NS.
