Obituary of Godfrey Francis

It is with a heavy heart we share with you the passing of our beloved Godfrey Francis of Dartmouth Nova Scotia on May 14th 2024 Godfrey was a beautiful soul who was loved by all. He was so vibrant, joyful and kind to all he met. You saw that as soon as you met him. He was employed for the last 7 years as an assistant manager of 6 buildings in the North End of Dartmouth by Vida Living where he was loved by all the tenants. Godfrey was born Oct 22 1960 in Port Aux Basques NFLD to Frederick and Elizabeth Francis. He was number 16 of 17 kids. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Howard. He is survived by his partner Laura Anthony, his two sons Byron Francis(Rose Kettle) of Port aux Basques NFld and Calvin Francis of Duck Lake Saskatchewan and a step daughter Melissa Proctor (Kyle) of BC, 5 precious grandchildren Bella, Grayson, Mariah, William and Leo. They were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters. Fred (Cavella) Cecelia, Geraldine (Wilfred), Bernice, Audrey , Albert (Dood) , Thomas (Nancy) Joanne (Steve), Debbie,Claude, Leona (Jim) Benny (Cathy) many nieces and nephews and his partner's son Cameron MacNeil. He was the biggest Boston Bruins fan anyone ever met. His family and friends will never watch a Bruins game without him coming to their mind. He was a gift from God and will never be forgotten. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who has been on the 15 month journey with us. We are blessed. He will be cremated and buried at a later date in Port Aux Basques.
