Obituary of Victor Joseph Bray
Please share a memory of Victor to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Victor Joseph Bray, 84 of Bedford, passed away after a brief illness on May 9, 2024. Survived by his sons, Jeff (Debbie), Stephen (Kelly), and Chris (Shiralee) and grandchildren Mirinda, Freeman, and Keiran. Also dearly missed by his beloved sister, Dale Hall, brothers-in-law Sandy (Cecile) Johnston and Guy Allain. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Dawn.
Dad started his sales career at Kraft Foods, a job he genuinely enjoyed and met many life-long friends. In retirement, he embraced his love for treasure hunting, spending countless hours scouring flea markets and estate sales for antique gems.
Dad loved watching the Blue Jays, playing cards, chess and never missed a sporting event that involved his grandchildren. Early morning walks and coffee rendezvous with friends at McDonald's were cherished rituals in his daily life. He enjoyed making ice-cream the old-fashioned way by hand-cranking it. It was the best ice-cream ever!
Several years ago, Dad had a lengthy stay at the Halifax Rehab Centre. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff for their kindness and support shown to him.
We would like to thank Tim and Bob, neighbors at The Tides, for their daily visits, check-ins, and card games. A debt of gratitude is owed to Dad's friend, Glen, whose camaraderie, and shared passion for treasure hunting enriched countless adventures.
Interment will be held at a later date in Notre Dame, New Brunswick.
