I was very sorry to hear of Terry's passing. He was a fixture at Prospector's Association meetings and always had something to contribute to the group and will surely be missed.

Dear Joan, Mary, Rachael and family,
I'm so very sorry for your loss. Joan, the loss of your husband and life partner. Mary (Scott) and Rachael (Dave), the loss of your sweet Dad. Rylan, Ayden, Eva and Abby, the loss of your sweet Granddad (who no doubt spoiled you all to bits!)
Growing up along side Mary(and Rachael), I saw Terry (aka Mary's Dad),as a a second father figure. I remember the sweet smell of his pipe tobacco escaping out of the car window as he drove Mary and I anywhere and everywhere, while CBC radio played in the background. I remember the trays of brightly coloured hand tied flies that he so carefully crafted, and how he would explain to me the unique purpose for each one and why.
As a kid, it seemed like Terry knew everyone. He was always chatting, laughing or teasing the person behind the counter, the toll booth attendant, or stranger on the street. Of course as an adult, it was clear to me he didn't know everyone. He was considerate. He saw people. He lead with kindness and heart. He acknowledged people, he validated them and left everyone he met with a sense of increase, lightness and laughter.
My sincere condolences.
Love and hugs,
Charlene Ferguson

Dearest Joan, Rachel, Mary and all who loved Terry,
May you find strength to get through this difficult time. Terry was a remarkable man in so many ways. My early memories are of Terry the artist, and the beautiful works of art he painted. Then Terry the builder, explaining the history, preservation, and restoration of the Shubenacadie canal; his passion project. He and Joan then built a house, and a family. He taught many of us how to canoe, knew where to catch salmon, how to pan for gold, and how to appreciate each day.
May all the wonderful memories bring you comfort
Love Moira and Elliot

Very sad to hear of Terry's passing. He was a great prospecting friend and we had many a good laugh and good talks about the love of the outdoors and his golden adventures. I, as well as the other prospectors in our group (NSPA) will truly miss him. Condolences to his Family.

I'm sadden to hear of Terry's passing. We have been neighbours for more than 30 years. We didn't see each other a lot but we always knew Terry and Joan were there if we needed them. Joan, you are in our thoughts. Terry, I'll see you on the other side.
