Jack was such a special man. He would walk by our house and always had ime for a sometimes very lengthy chat. I had the pleasure to sell their home when they bought the home he wanted so badly on Chandler. It had more wood in it than any other home around and he would always proudly invite me in tio see all the renovations he had done. He was someone who always had time for the chat. I will miss seeing him and Charlie as they walked around together but now they can walk together again and have Andrea with them.

Please accept my sincere condolences to all of Jack ‘s family . I had the pleasure of getting to know Jack and Andrea when they both worked at the Sackville Sports Stadium. A very dear man and I loved his sense of humor. Jack would always take time to have a talk and his input was so valuable. Not only a dear friend but a member with us in the gym for many years, his quiet demeanour said it all and the twinkle in his eyes. His presence is sadly missed.

I first met Jack when I joined old timers hockey in the early 1990's. We became friends and fishing buddies. I will miss dropping in on him to reminisce the good times we had over the years.

Jack loved life. He treasured the gathering of friends on his back deck, especially Charlie and Ray. He loved walking beaches and swimming in the ocean. As we all know, hockey was a passion, both to watch and play. Another great passion was fishing and all his fishing buddies. He simply loved life and after retirement he kept busy with new adventures. I have fond memories of our time together and I will miss him forever. I was blessed to have him in my life.
Love Jeanette and Jasper

Please accept our sympathies on the loss of your father, brother.
Mom and I have lots of fond memories of the Murphy family on Merkle street . I remember Jack bringing home a “colour” tv from his workplace for the weekend and all the neighborhood kids would pile in to watch Saturday morning cartoons.
I hope you take comfort in all the wonderful memories you have of him and it will help at this difficult time.

I'm fighting back tears as I read Jack's beautiful & heartfelt obituary. I worked for years with Jack at the New Sound in Scotia Square. He had such a quirky sense of humour and I never saw him get upset. He truly loved his family and was so proud of them. He and Andrea threw some great parties with lots of good laughs. You will be missed Jack by so many. It was an honour to have known and worked with you. Rest easy as you are finally reunited with the love of your life. Maxine (Maxi) Haines
