Obituary of Darrell Walter Baker

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darrell Walter Baker, at the age of 62 of Windsor Junction, N.S. He passed away peacefully on the 9th of April, 2024 at the Dartmouth General Hospital. Darrell was predeceased by his sister Evelyn and his brother George. He will be missed dearly by his wife, Heather; brothers, Burton (Betty) and Perry (Ann); sisters, Muriel (Ronnie), Phyllis (Darryl) and Elizabeth; grandchildren, Dakota, Colby, Bently, Ava and Gia; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Darrell loved his family so much. He could often be found sitting around the fire, enjoying a drink, singing, dancing, or playing cards with family and friends. He worked for Miller Paving and enjoyed his job just as much as he enjoyed the people he worked with. Darrell’s coworkers were like a second family to him, and he often shared stories of them all with his family. We would like to extend a special thank you to all of the doctors and nursing staff who took part in Darrell’s care. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 20,2024 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at TJ Tracey funeral home, located at 71 McQuade Lk. Crescent, Halifax, (Bayer’s Lake) N.S. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
