Sandra and Ken's family; My sincere sympathy on Ken's passing. In my late husband Dave's opinion Ken was one of the very best, as a man, a friend and a firefighter. There were lots of good memories of the fire station, dances at the Firefighter's Club, hockey and ball games. I am sure they will meet again and have a great conversation about the "good old days".

Dear Sandra, Kenny, Susan & Glen, We were very saddened to hear of Ken’s passing. We have so many good memories of Ken. Jack grew up with him, and formed the co-op that built our houses next door to each other in Sackville, in the early 70’s. Our deepest condolences for your loss at this time.

Beave was a great reliable golf buddy, we always had lots of laughs and a couple of beer but during six or seven years back and forth to Brookfield when it was his turn to drive his stubbornness shined through and as much as I tortured him he refused to use cruise.
I'll miss you buddy!

My condolences to Sandra and family on your loss
Ken and I came on the FD in Apr. 67 , served in the
same platoon and frequently in the same station for
just about 30 years. He was a good man on and off the fire ground and I always enjoyed working with him
and enjoyed his company on the rare occasions we got together off the job. Although we weren't close
I considered him a friend. Rest in peace Beav.

Some of the best years in the HFD were with Beaver, Bart, Flan, Capt. McManus and Tommy Walker. I'm not sure Kenny like me or just the homemade bread Michelle sent in every shift. Lol. Miss those days!

Ken was not only my cousin, fellow fire fighter but a good friend! He would torment the living daylights out of me when we were together and laughed like the devil at my expense. We played ball hockey, lob ball, and ice hockey as well as worked together. We are going to miss the “Beaver” as we use to call him. Rest In Peace “good buddy”!

Ken was a mentor to me in my first years as a firefighter beginning in 1975. We worked together for over 5 years until I was transferred to another station. Ken was responsible for my nickname, lousy Larry. Ken and Bob Humpfries helped build my first house in Milwood subdivision. We played a lot of crib and poker together over the years. His was a great guy but more importantly he was a great firefighter. May he RIP.

Sending my deepest condolences on the passing of Kenny Fraser aka “The Beaver”. When I started my career with Halifax Fire back in the day, Kenny was a mentor to me and many others. His quick wit and sharp sense of humour was always cause for a laugh and we enjoyed many laughs. But he was also a great friend who taught me many valuable lessons on doing the job of firefighting which we all loved so much. Rest easy brother, you will not be forgotten.

You will be sadly missed, however happily remembered 'Beav". To say you were like a father to me would be an understatement. You treated me like a son my entire life. Thank you "old buddy". You will be missed and loved forever.
