My sincere condolences to Geri’s family at this sad time. I had hoped to go to the funeral Mass tomorrow but am not now able to make it. Geri and I were partners for a couple of years delivering Meals on Wheels. She would pick me up and drive me home every week and we had great conversations along our delivery route. I will remember her as a very kind and caring person. May she rest in peace. Pauline Scott

We met Geri in 1998 when we moved into St. Theresa's Parish and answered the call to volunteer. Geri was such a capable, reliable and highly organized volunteer. It was a pleasure to work with her and to see the parish through the eyes of someone who grew up there. She took her responsibilities seriously, acting with true Christian humility and respect for others. We are grateful for the opportunity to know and appreciate Geri.

It is with profound sadness that I learn about the passing of aunt Geri. She was a warm, caring, loving woman. Beautiful inside and out. I admired the passion she had for her profession and her unwavering commitment to her community. She inspired me to be a better person by giving back to my community through volunteering. I feel so lucky to have had her in my life. Sending love to all that knew her during this difficult time.

On behalf of the faculty and staff of the Dalhousie College of Pharmacy, we send sincere condolences. Geri was a significant presence in pharmacy and a lovely person, who many of us remember fondly. The Geri Kearns Spirit of Pharmacy award for a student was begun in her honour and speaks to the impact that she had as a caring and committed pharmacist. She will be missed.

Very sad to learn of Geri's passing, we were classmates, Pharmacy Class of 65. Geri was a gentle, smart, caring, loyal person...and a lot of fun! She had a generous spirit as her involvement with Meals on Wheels can attest.
My deepest condolences to her family and many friends.

I remember Geri as a lab instructor while I was in College of Pharmacy in late 1960's, and then I worked with her as a part-time inspector from 2000-2005.
She was very conscientious , thorough and knowledgeable, and a pleasure to spend time with.
