Real ‘Marcel’ Ouellet, 48
Gardiner Mines, N.S.
With heaviest of hearts, we, the family of Real Marcel Ouellet, announce his sudden passing at the age of 48 on January 28th, 2024.
Marcel was a loyal friend and cherished family member who adored the outdoors, often being found on the water or shore in his beloved Loch Lomond or elsewhere with a rod and reel in hand. He would forever be making ever more friends with his kindness and natural charisma, loving to tell and hear stories. Marcel was always there if one of his loved ones needed him, most of all his pride and joy, his son Jesse.
Marcel is survived by his beloved wife of 13 years, Jocelyn (Frison), son Jesse, sister Chantal Ouellet-Odette and brother-in-law Ryan Odette, mother and father-in-law Brenda and Frank Frison, sister-in-law Lynette Frison, and brother-in-law Shea Frison. Marcel is also survived by niece Skylar Odette, nephews Andre Ouellet and Corbin Frison, and his aunt and godmother Margie Turnbull, as well as a large extended Turnbull family of aunts, uncles, and cousins, whose lives are poorer for his loss.
Marcel was predeceased by his parents, Real and Jeanette (Turnbull) Ouellet. He was further predeceased by aunts Loretta, Diane, Mary, Yvonne, Gail, and Anne, and uncles Eddie, Edison, Kenny, Bernie (O’Brien) and Bernie (Campbell). His special and closest uncle, whom he shared a birthday with, John Neil, also predeceased him, as well as close cousins Cordell, Carl, and Jordan. He had also recently lost close friend and fishing partner Kenny O’Regan.
Visitation and service will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024. Visitation from 1-3 p.m., with a Celebration of Life to follow at 3 p.m.
Memorial donations can be made to a wildlife or animal organization of your choice.
