Stephen John McLeod, 64 of Mount Uniacke passed away December 24, 2023 the QEII – Halifax Infirmary. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Wayne Duffy and Irene Rita Duffy (Pennell).
Stephen was an Army Reserve at 723 COM SQN. He was a lifelong fastball pitcher/slo-pitch, and a recreational hockey player and coach. Stephen enjoyed playing golf with his family and friends. He spent many summers entertaining family on his boat.
Stephen is survived by his wife of 14 years, Kim Ross and the mother of his children Angela Barnhill McLeod; son, Logan; daughter, Jennie (David Zinck); brothers, Kenny Roy (Joy), Gerry Duffy (Becky); sisters, Kim McAlpine, Kelly (Peter MacIsaac), Annette Duffy, Noelle Duffy; half-sisters, Wendy Mersey, Stephanie McLeod. He was loved by Kim’s sons, Jeremy, Corey and Jonathan; as well as Kim’s many grand children who knew him as “Papa Steve”, he is survived by his many uncles/aunts, nieces and nephews and cousins.
Stephen was predeceased by his mother, Irene Duffy (Pennell) and half sister, Michelle McLeod.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2024. Date to be announced.
