It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Amy Crawley, on December 28th 2023. A cherished mother and beloved grandmother. Born in Chester Basin on Sept. 30th 1925 to parents Arthur and Stella Backman.
Mom was a gentle soul who enjoyed life to the fullest. Her favorite times were spent with family and friends enjoying the simple things in life, gardening, reading, going to yard sales, and she was always up for a game of cards. Her love of travel took her on many adventures through out her life. Mom leaves behind wonderful memories of a life well lived.
She will be forever in our hearts; and deeply missed by her sister Vivian, daughter Christine, son Gene,( Cyndy), grandsons Nathane, Nicholas (Alisa), Cory ,and great grandson Hunter. She was predeceased by her husband Frank, sisters Francis, Jean, Lena, brothers Moyle, Murray, Benny, Philip, and son-in-law Larry.
A sincere thank you to the staff of Caritas for their compassion, care and support over the past six years. Mom was truly blessed to be part of such a loving community.
A funeral service will be held at Grace Anglican Church Chester Basin on Friday January 5th at 11.A.M. Funeral arrangements entrusted to T.J, Tracey Halifax.
