On behalf of our Kenney family, we were all very sorry to learn of Doris's passing. She was such a wonderful lady, and we have many wonderful memories of Doris and her family. They were next door neighbors of ours on Slayter Street for many years. We'll always remember the snow shoveling operations at the Manuel's house, with Mossie and Doris out during and after every storm to chase every smowflake off their driveway and porch. There were the many chihuahuas that the Manuel's loved all through the years they lived at 56. Bluebell, Pearl, little Skye and many more. Doris was always such a hardworking and dedicated employee with the NS government, they were very fortunate to have someone like her. I remember seeing her walking every morning down to the bus stop at the Dartmouth shopping center bus stop, no matter how bad the weather was. Sheets of rain, snow storms, they never stopped her. Doris was a wonderful friend and support for our Mum, Jean Kenney, right up to her passing in 2019. She'll be remembered with great fondness and appreciation by all of us. Sincere condolences to Barry and family, Reg, Brenda and the Kenney family.

Dear family of Dorie: We are saddened to hear of her passing, when we lived in Cape Breton & would come to visit Don & Ruth Fogarty, Terry’s parents at 54 Slayter, we often saw & had a good conversation with Dorie, she loved her little Skye, we were amazed at her adventures driving to Florida with her parents each year. She was a good neighbour on Slayter Street & was missed when she moved to The Berkley, Fond memories of Dorie, we will be thinking of you in the weeks & months ahead, deepest sympathy to all, Betty/Terry Fogarty
