Lisa (McGrath) Morris posted a condolence

My sincerest condolences to you all in the Cove and beyond. Helen was like the matriarch of McGraths Cove… a true rock. I’m sure the ocean heaved in sorrow upon hearing the news as did everyone privileged to have known her. She had such a warm personality, beautiful smile, and so uplifting to everyone all her years. I suspect she received a thunderous welcoming by those who preceded her upstairs, and like to think she is at peace and will watch over her beloved Cove and loved ones forever.
Keeping you in my heart space and asking the powers at be for comfort and guidance at this very sad time

Joanie, Danny, Cathy and Families:
What does one say about a woman who brought such joy and love for so many years!! The past few days have been about remembering Nanny Helen and all the wonderful memories. Jacob has been thinking of all those many days having cookies and milk at her kitchen table when he would tell her all his troubles. Those cups of tea with Nanny Helen when she would open her home to me, seeing her walking the Cove, brightening up everyone's day! We loved her in so many ways and will honour her in the days and years ahead by remembering her.

Words cannot express our feelings on the loss you have experienced. We want you all to know you are in our thoughts and prayers. May you draw strength from one another during this time of sorrow and know that others are sharing your grief. May every beautiful memory you have of your mom bring nothing but smiles and joy as you reflect back on all the years you had together and hold them close. A mother holds her children’s hands for a while, their hearts forever.
She will never be far from your memories. May you take comfort in the fact that you are surrounded by people who love and care for you. Thinking of you all.
Although not here in body
Her spirit still remains
Etched in everyone of you
Your loss but yet your gain
With Our Most Deepest Sympathy
Roger, Andree, Sarah Jane, Kyle and Jordan
