Allan Lloyd Furlotte of Halifax, NS. passed away December 2nd, 2023 at Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born in Halifax, NS he was the son of Al Furlotte and Jean Furlotte Howard.
Allan was a man of many skills. He was a carpenter and sheet-metal worker by trade. He had various supervisory jobs, managed and bartended in clubs in Vancouver, and at the Surf Club in Halifax.
Allan‘s love of cooking led to he and his wife Dee owning and running a small café and catering establishment.
Allan‘s interest were sports when he was younger and he excelled at boxing. Later on he became Mr. fix it and enjoyed doing small repairs for others and on his own equipment. Allan was very generous and most who knew him as the Gentle Giant who shouldn’t be poked.
Thanks to all the family friends who reached out and helped with Allan when he was struggling. There are too many to mention, but Allan was so appreciative of everyone’s love and support.
Survived by his step-daughter, Jen (Robin) Talbot; brothers, Gary (Judy) Halifax, Wayne (Jody) North Vancouver BC, Keith (Rennie) New Westminster BC, Dana (Cathy) Antigonish, NS; brother -in-law, Wilfred, Dartmouth NS; sisters, Sharon, New West Minister BC, Carol, Dartmouth, NS, Special sister, Pat, Bedford NS; sister-in-law, Lorraine, Richmond BC; step grandchildren, Cody, Trent and Marlee; and many nieces and nephews.
Allan is pre-deceased by his spouse, Delores (Noseworthy); parents, Al and Jean Furlotte Howard; stepfather, Ivan Howard; sister, Barbara Connors (Smith); brother, Roddy Furlotte.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Society. As per Allan’s request there will be no funeral or visitations. A family celebration of life will be held for Allan in the summer.
