Obituary of Martin Jesso Jr.

41 of Halifax, Nova Scotia died peacefully with his father, Martin Sr. by his side in the QEII VG site on October 29, 2023. Born on October 22, 1982 in Stephenville, Newfoundland, Martin was the son of Martin and Audrey (Dempsey) Jesso of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Martin was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Charles, and Theresa (Lemoine) Jesso of Degras, Newfoundland; and by his maternal grandparents, Jim, and Maureen (Jesso) Dempsey of Lower Cove, Newfoundland. Martin is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him very much. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his aunt, Diana Wournell, who was his respite worker for several years. He spent many weekends at her place with her family and pets where there was always lots of fun and many laughs. Martin loved watching wrestling thanks to his close family friend, Debbie Grandy. Debbie bought him wrestling DVD’s so he could watch them any time he wanted to. Wherever little Martin went, he brought joy, smiles and a ton of laughter with him. He had many Buddies and lots of Hunnies. If you ever met Martin, no matter who you were, you were considered one of his buddies or one of his hunnies. Martin enjoyed a nice cold beer (yes, even if it was the 0.5% beer), singing and dancing to country music any chance he had, and he loved listening to Gospel. There will not be a funeral service, cremation has taken place under the care of T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Halifax.
