Obituary of Bernard Robert Peters

Please share a memory of Bernard to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bernard (Bud) Robert Peters, Halifax NS, Bud was born on June 18th, 1947, in Halifax, NS. He was 76 years of age at the time of passing on October 23, 2023. Buds career as a heavy-duty mechanic with Coca Cola left him with a continued passion for working on any kind of motor. Be it his boats, truck, or any car he owned. He had the belief, “he would fix that someday”. Up to a few days before his passing, he spent his days working on his truck, as he enjoyed the peacefulness of the lake. Bud had a quick whit about him and for those who knew him well, he did not give up easily. Bud loved being at his place at the lake on Cockscomb Lake. He was determined to be there until he was called home and so he was. Bud also had a 25-year career with Community Services, where he offered his services to helping others in need. In past years he loved to go fishing and being on the Halifax harbour boating. Bud was loved and will be missed by his family. His twin sister, Patricia Mac Lean, Bridgewater, Doreen (Rick) Stuart, Mexico, Lorraine (Clyde) Robinson, Dartmouth, and his brother Don (Cathy) Peters, Mount Uniacke. As well as his nieces and nephews, Kelly, Andrea, Alysha, Emily and Brad, Jeffrey, Scott, and Matthew; along with several grand nieces and nephews. Bud was predeceased by his father and mother, Bernard and Mary (O’Neill) Peters. As requested a cremation has taken place, there will be no service or visitation. Bud will be laid to rest at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Lower Sackville on November 4, 2023, with his family in attendance. Donations may be made in Bud’s memory to The North Grove, a not-for-profit Organization in Dartmouth, NS, charity number: 140914755RR 0001. A special thank you to the QEII, IMCU Respiratory unit for the care they provided and to T.J Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialist, Halifax for their guidance and care.
