Obituary of Dr. TN Bhargava .

Dr. TN Bhargava, a prominent physician passed on October 18,2023 at QEII hospital . He is survived by his loving wife of over seventy years, Pushpa Bhargava. He leaves behind two sons, a daughter-in-law and three grandchildren. Dr Bhargava was cremated according to Hindu traditions at TJ Tracey cremation. Doctor Sahib, as he was affectionately known, was born in 1924 in India to a prominent family of physicians and politicians. He completed his medical training in India, UK and Canada. He was especially proud to have obtained his FRCS (Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons) from Edinburgh. Dr Bhargava opened a medical practice in 1967 and faithfully served his patients for over forty years in the Halifax communities. He was a prominent figure in the medical community, and served as an officer of the Nova Scotia Medical Society for several years. He also had multiple passions and interests outside of medicine such as gardening, playing classical guitar and daily laps at the Centennial pool which he did until his mid 90’s. A Havan will be held at the Hindu Temple located at 6421 Cork Street on October 25 at 3:00pm, where all are invited to pay respect to Dr. Bhargava’s life and soul. The Bhargava family wishes to thank his family physician, Dr. St. Peters and the staff at unit 8.4 at the QE II hospital, for their remarkable care and compassion, prominently Dr Jarrar and nurses Dorian, Josmy and CTA Jeff for their remarkable care and compassion as well. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or the United Way. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T.J.
