Obituary of Anne Miller

Anne Miller, 69, of Beechville, NS, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2023 at the QEII Health Sciences Center. Born on August 27, 1954, she was the only daughter of the late George and Bettey Wignell, the apple of her father’s eye. Anne is survived by her loving husband, of 35 years, Hilton Miller, Stepdaughter Gwen (David) MacDonald, several cousins, special extended family Allison, Shane, Dot and Janice Mont, Stan McManus and special long-time friend Anne Just. In 1975, Anne began her working career with Dominion Stores in Spryfield and after 25 years of dedicated service she retired from Herring Cove IGA in 2000. An Avon Representative since 1972, Anne’s life revolved around providing all things Avon to her many customers, some of whom became her good friends over the years. She was also an avid Flea Marketer for over 20 years and became one of the faces of the Sunday Market at the Halifax Forum, servicing vendors and customers alike. Anne’s charming personality and sense of humor were magnetic. She was the life of the party. A loyal and true friend who will be missed by all who were blessed to know her. A private, family graveside service will be held at a later date with Rev. Elaine Walcott officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Anne and her family would like to thank the nursing staff of 8.2, at the QEII Hospital for their kind and compassionate care during her illness.
