Steven George McAndrew, Age 61
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Steven on Sept 7th, 2023, at the Halifax Infirmary after a courageous battle.
Born in Halifax in 1961 Steve was the son of the Late William & Margaret McAndrew.
Steve was employed at Canada Post and previously employed at Purolator. In Steve’s retirement he volunteered for several years at the Dartmouth branch of the Red Cross.
Steve’s passions were cooking, music (drums were his instrument of choice) in which he enjoyed jamming with his buddies and had an interest in the weather. He was everybody’s go to for the weather.
Steve is survived by his beloved son, Conor; his loving companion, Leslie Hemsworth; sisters, Joan Ingarfield (Bert) Texas, Diane Hodgson (Dee) Lr Sackville, and Linda Rockwell (Gary) Lr Sackville. Steve is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Steve is predeceased by his brother, Gary McAndrew (Truro).
A celebration of life will be held at the Sackville Legion on 45 Sackville Crossroad Between 1-3pm on Oct 1st, 2023.
Cremation has taken place, a private interment to follow.
