Obituary of Louise Mullane

August 19th,2023, Beulah Louise (Withrow) Mullane, 85, of Hammonds Plains NS, passed away peacefully at the Dartmouth General Hospital surrounded by her beloved family. Louise is survived by her two children, Douglas(Mary) Mullane, Lower Sackville and Kimberlee Mullane, Lower Sackville; her brother, Lewis Withrow, Bedford; and her three grandchildren, Kyle(Alison) MacMillan, Dartmouth, Kirk Mullane, middle Sackville, and Danielle Mullane, Halifax. She is predeceased by her husband, Douglas James Mullane; and her sister in law, Judy Withrow. Louise was very family focused. She loved her family with her whole heart and enjoyed spending time with them. As a family they traveled a lot together, whether it was their Sunday drives where Louise was never sure where they would end up or long road trips to different provinces or the states. Louise was always up for a drive! Louise was such a kind hearted soul and would welcome anyone with open arms. She especially had a soft spot for animals and loved them all. She enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her “grand-dogs” and was always willing to help look after them and have them in her home. Louise had a love for sunshine and was often seen sitting on her front porch on the warm summer days. She always kept watch in the park and knew what was going on. Louise and Doug were the second people to move into Uplands park when it first opened. Louise was very proud of her home and the park. The family of Louise would like to send a special thanks to the staff at the Dartmouth General Hospital floor 4 west for looking after and comforting Louise in her last days. Also thanks to Northwood homecare and meals on wheels for helping look after her when she was still at home. A grave side burial will be held at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Friday, August 25th at 10 am. There will be a celebration of life held back at Louise’s home after her burial. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to any local animal rescue of your choice.
