Obituary of Diane MacArthur

Diane MacArthur Glace Bay, NS After a very courageous battle with Dementia, Diane MacArthur (MacLellan), in her 74th year, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday April 4th, 2023. Born in Glace Bay, Diane was the daughter of the late John Norman and Dorothy MacLellan. Loving mother of Sean (Jennifer) of London, ON, Kim (Shelly) of Glace Bay, J.R. (Chrystal) of Glace Bay; cherished grandmother of Gabby, Tyler, Caitlind (Greg), Dillan, Kelsey (Austin), Gil, Darby, and Caleb. Also survived by sisters: Mamie (Fred-deceased) and Shirley (John) of London, ON, Darlene of Comox, BC; brother: James (Donna) of Glace Bay; sister-in-law: Joanne, London, ON. Predeceased by her sisters Willena and Flora (Keith), brothers Roddie, Charlie, John Norman (Carol), Albert Paul, and Bobby. She will also be sadly missed by her many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and especially her long-time friend Sharon Hawley of New Waterford. Cremation has taken place. As per her wishes there will be no service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. At this time our family would like to thank Doctor McKillop and his office staff for their amazing care of our mom, thank you to Palliative Care, as well as the staff at T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists Glace Bay, for their amazing compassion and care. Diane was an amazing mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
