I am so saddened to just hear of Phil's passing. I had the pleasure of working in a volunteer capacity at the Young Street probation office years passed. He was a good friend and talked often of his children and how proud he was of them. He was a smart, fearless leader for those things he believed in and for others in vulnerable situations. Please accept my condolences. I know he is dearly missed, however fondly remembered.

Clarence, Betty, Bev, Ron and families of Philip. We are so sorry to hear of Phil's death. I have great memories of the many visits and family functions together as we were growing up. Since Phil and I were close in age I remember many fun times throughout our teen years in high school. In more recent years it was always a treat to run in to him often times in and around Bedford. I could always look forward to a hug and a "catch-up" chat and of course a few laughs. It is so sad that he is gone. We send our love to all of you.

Ron and June, family and friends of Philip.
I am saddened to hear of your brother's passing. Losing a brother is one of the saddest things I can imagine. My heart reaches out to you all. Words are hard to express grief. Love is easier to define.
"Absence from whom we love is worse than death, and frustrates hope severer than despair."
(William Cowper (1731-1800)
May you all find comfort in the love and care of each other as you navigate these uncharted waters. Your brother led a remarkable life, an inspiration to all, your memories of him will be your beacon. Let not despair give way to grief, but find rays of hope, and guide you in your remorse.
We all share in your grief at this difficult time. My sincere condolences in your loss.

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Phil for many years as a probation officer. Phil had a strong passion for the job and ran one of the most successful Volunteer in Corrections Programs ever. He mentored new staff, was involved in community awareness and charity events on behalf of the Department and tackled tough cases with enthusiasm. Anyone you knows Phil also knows he had a strong personality, he stood firmly for what he believed in. Phil had many interests, but he was most proud of his children and their accomplishments. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time. Rest in peace my friend and enjoy the twisties on your motorcycle in heaven.
