Brandon Yates, 37
Glace Bay
It is with heavy hearts that we, the family announce the sudden passing of Brandon William Yates in the QEll, Halifax Infirmary on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Born in Glace Bay, Brandon is the son of Beverley Yates.
From an early age Brandon would take on any task, big or small; no matter what the project, he got it done. He was always there to lend a helping hand for anyone who needed it. He was a very skilled and enthusiastic person, who never said no, whether it was a home repair or dump run, he would be there in a heartbeat. In the past, Brandon was employed at Stream, MacLeod’s Safety, and various carpentry jobs over the years.
Brandon loved everyone and was loved very much by his family and friends. He had a smile that could light up the room. He was always kidding around because seeing others laugh brought him so much joy. His lovable personality will be forever etched into the memories of everyone he met.
Brandon is survived by his mom Bev, sister Brittany (Jordan), nieces Camryn and Kinsley who he thought the world of. Also left to mourn are his uncles Brian, Bradley, and Derek as well as cousins and friends.
Brandon is predeceased buy his grandparents Poppy (David) and Nanny (Theresa) who he missed everyday; uncles, Lorne, David (Cash), and Allister; great grandparents Mary and Jim Doyle; as well as numerous great aunts and uncles.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS. 902.849.4199. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date for Brandon and his nanny Theresa.
