Ann Denise (Lynk) Purcell, 62
Glace Bay, NS
It is with profound sadness and broken hearts, that we the family announce the passing of Ann Denise Purcell, on November 24, 2022, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ann Denise was the daughter of the late Irene and Kippy (Clifford) Lynk of Bridgeport, Glace Bay.
Ann Denise grew up in Bridgeport and was adored by everyone. She was always there to lend a helping hand without having been asked. She married the love of her life, Reggie, and together raised two beautiful daughters; family was everything to her. Life was not always easy; they were challenged with many bumps in their paths but as a family they persevered. After their girls got older, Ann Denise went back to school and studied hard to become an LPN, for which she loved and was immensely proud of. Ann Denise was the life of the party; she had an infectious laugh, which made others laugh, and a Heart that was made of Gold. We will forever adore, love, and cherish her, she will be missed dearly.
Ann Denise is survived by her husband Reggie of 44 years; children Nicole and Vanessa (Danny); grandchildren: Sara, Hannah, and Nicholas; brothers: Cliff Jr. (Lynko) (Deb), Joseph, Wesley (Mary), Myles (Cha) (Karen), and Wendell; sisters: Darlene (Eddy), and Lorraine (Gerry) MacGillivary.
Along with her parents, Ann Denise was predeceased by a sister Linda Locke, brother Leo, father and mother-in-law Pat and Vera Purcell, brothers in law Piercy, Paul, and Lloyd, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and nephews.
On behalf of our family, we would like to take this time to thank Darlene and Donna for their limitless support; the Palliative Care Team, VON, New Waterford Homecare, the Staff of the Glace Bay Hospital, and EHS, your compassion, care and support will always be remembered.
In lieu of flowers donations in Memory of Ann Denise may be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Care Centre or Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, NS.
