Bernard Leslie MacRury, 80 Glace Bay, N.S. With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our loving husband, father, brother, and uncle on July 12, 2022, at Glace Bay General Hospital surrounded by the love of his family. Born May 23, 1942, in Glace Bay to the late Peter and Helen (Peters) MacRury. Bernie worked at several garages doing various jobs, beginning at a very young age beside his father, gaining his love and knowledge of cars, trucks, and tractors. He drove for the Glace Bay Bus Company, then to Glace Bay Water Department until his retirement. Bernie enjoyed the simple things in life and time spent with family and friends. He loved his daily coffee runs with Wayne, picking apples with Jimmy, going to concerts with Dianne to see her” boyfriends.” He loved his family beyond measure and will be deeply missed. Survived by his wife Dianne, sons James (Allan) and Wayne (Lorna); sisters Sharon (Gordie) and Debbie (Gerald); brother-in-law Leonard (Cecilia) and many loving nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bernie was predeceased by siblings Jimmie and Georgie (in childhood), Willie (Dan) and Joan (Tom) and his Simmons in-law’s Tom and Eileen, Roy (Ruth), George (Priscilla), Allie (Belle), Leo (Karen), Myrna and Sheila (Jim).
