Ann Marilyn Deveaux, 81
Glace Bay, N.S.
We the family of Ann Marilyn Deveaux, 81 of Glace Bay, are heartbroken to announce her passing on July 12, 2022, at the Glace Bay Healthcare Complex. Ann was the daughter of the late Art and Bertha Bramwell.
Ann worked for Cape Breton Regional School Board for a few years as a Grounds Supervisor. Mom was well known for her cake decorating skills; she also loved to sew and was an avid crafter who was always up for a challenge. The most special time in mom’s life was spent with her husband of 61 years, he was the love of her life, and her best friend.
Ann is survived by her loving husband Alex Deveaux; daughters: Debbie (Gordon) McNeil, Wendy (Francis) McPhee; son-in-law Mike Markey; brothers, Bill, and Wayne Bramwell; sisters, Jean (Bill) MacDonald, and Linda (Tony) Eagles; grandchildren: Sean (Katie) Deveaux, Andrew (Aayla) Markey, Virginia (Mason) Markey, Nicole Markey, four awesome bonus grandchildren; Ally, Jeff, Aaron, and Sarah; as well as four great-grandchildren: Elyas, Gracie, Logan and Harrison.
Along with her parents, Ann was predeceased by two sons Craig and Arthur, daughter-in-law Deanna Deveaux, and sister Beverly Nolan.
Visitation for the late Ann Marilyn Deveaux will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022, from 5-7 p.m., with a Celebration of Life to be held on Monday, July 18, 2022, at 1 p.m. with Fr. Duaine Devereaux presiding. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St. Glace Bay, N.S. (902)849-4199.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
