Obituary of Eugene Gerard Gardiner

Eugene Gerard Gardiner, 71 Dominion, NS The family of Eugene Gerard Gardiner, 71 of Dominion, regret to announce his sudden passing at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, on Friday, June 10, 2022. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Frank and Genevieve (MacDonald) Gardiner. Eugene lived his younger years in Johnstown, then later in life moved back home to Dominion. Eugene was happiest when he spent time with his friends 4-Wheeling, riding his tractor, and mowing grass in the community. In 2009, he was proud to receive recognition from Cape Breton Regional Municipality for many years of Volunteer Services within the Community. Eugene will be greatly missed by his sisters: Marie, Theresa, Anne, Rita, Bertha, Bernadette, and Joan; brothers: Francis, Terry, Eddie, Paul, and Kevin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Margie, and brother’s Robert and Allie. Visitation for the late Eugene Gerard Gardiner will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, from1-2:30 p.m., prayers to follow with Fr. Allie MacMillan, at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, N.S. (902)849-4199. Interment at Cavalry Cemetery, Bridgeport.
