Michael (Mike) Elroy MacDonald, 80

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Michael (Mike) Elroy Macdonald of Table Head, on May 15, 2021 at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Michael was the son of the late John Angus and Jenny Macdonald.
Dad served for several years with the Canadian Armed forces before returning home to work in the Coal Mines of Cape Breton, he worked for Devco until the mines closed. Dad loved to spend time with family, he was a jack of all trades, and later in life took up the hobby of gardening.
Mike is survived by his wife of 55 years, Diane (Legnaro) Macdonald; Daughter, Annette (Darrell) Spencer; Sons, Dougie (Sherry), Michael (Adele), David (Eileen); Grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Adam, Breanna, Joshua, Jacob; Great-grandchildren, Addison, Alex, Sophia, and Cade.
Mike is also survived by his siblings, Mary-Evelyn, Joanie, Catherine, Francis, Barbara, Sally, Peggy, John, Allan, and Cathy
Besides His parents Mike was also predeceased by his siblings, Murdock, Joseph, Robert, Helen and grandson, Darrell.
Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902.849.4199. A Celebration of Life for Mike will take place at a future date.
