Donald “Mark” Kelly, 45
Glace Bay
We the family of Donald “Mark” Kelly of Glace Bay, are heartbroken to announce his sudden passing on Friday, April 9, 2021 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Mark was the son of Terry and Margie Kelly.
Mark was employed by AB Mechanical Ltd. from 1995 to most recently. Mark worked at Pt. Aconi and Stora, Port Hawkesbury, as well as many other construction jobs throughout his young life. Mark was well known for his hard work and quality of work. He was also very mechanically inclined, whatever his brother would dismantle, Mark would always put back together, and it would forever be ‘as good as new.’
In his younger years Mark played organized hockey with Glace Bay Minor Hockey, Baseball with Glace Bay Little League, and he would also like to shoot a few hoops with the Basketball every now and then. Mark had a real passion for fast cars, the faster the car, the better!
Mark’s whole world was his son Connor, he was Mark’s pride and joy. They both shared the same interests, like driving ATV’s, and going for a bike ride, on their peddle bikes around Bridgeport.
Mark is survived by his wife of 13 years, Jenn (Lynk) Kelly, son: Connor (Mark’s pride and joy), Daughter: Kristen; Brother: Ricky Kelly (Ashley Byrne); Brother-in-law: Brad (Jana Blinkhorn); Sister-in-law: Kayla (Cody MacPherson); Mother and Father-in-law: Kevin and Gail Lynk; as well as extended family.
